A Guide to Training Programs for Military Spouses.

Military officers are transferred from one station to another from time to time. They do not remain in one working station for longer periods. Redeployment of military officers mostly affects the spouses especially the ones who has taken up various careers. The spouse finds it difficult to remain employed. Taking up a career course is also difficult for a military spouse as they do not know when the next redeployment will take place.

However, thanks to advanced technology, military spouses can be able to take up online career training programs. Military spouse online education is now easy to enroll regardless of the location of the spouse. Several other learning institutions allows the learner to participate in the programs from any part of the world. This has come as a reliever to many military spouses who have all along found it difficult to advance their careers as they do not know when the next redeployment will happen.

One program referred to as MyCAA; Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts is offered as financial aid for military spouses who want to take up careers in different professional fields. The scholarship programs have benefited several military spouses to become professionals in different fields. Military spouses willing to get certification or licensing or willing to become a professional in teaching, medicine, etc. have all benefited from the program. Military spouses now have the burden offloaded from their shoulder.
The [procedure for making an application involves opening an account on the MyCAA website. After thoroughly scrutinizing, the organizers will determine if the candidate qualifies to befit from the program or not. The applicants who have been selected to join the scholarship program are required to submit their applications 30 days before the course commences.

We look at what MyCAA program covers. Normally the scholarship caters for the tuition fee, which basically includes tuition and examination fee. The program also covers the fee for any certification or license obtained from an accredited university, college or a technical school in the state.

However, while the spouse is taking up MyCAA training program, it is important to note that the program has some areas that it does not cover. This includes costs of tuition or examination for courses that are not in the military spouses Education and Training Plan. It does not also cater for the courses that the military spouse had already enrolled for, or those that the spouse has already completed.

MyCAA does not also make any prior payment for a future course that the military spouse intends to take in future, unless it is a prior payment of the same course that the spouse is taking now. It does not also cover for books or uniforms that the spouse might need during the study period.
