Save money – Smoking is expensive. Since smoking affects the productivity of citizens, the government is discouraging it by increasing the prices of cigarette packets. Stop endangering others – When you are smoking, it also affects other people around you. Smokers easily get bacterial and viral infections because smoking weakens their immune system thus they become susceptible to colds and coughs. Endurance to physical activities – Most physical activities require that you have strength, but if you lungs do not function optimally due to smoking, you might not last long. Smoking weakens the functioning of the lungs and heart which are vital organs for optimal body functioning. It becomes worse if you continue and doing simple tasks like climbing stair cases becomes impossible. If you quit smoking, the organs become functional once again, and you get back your strength.
